London Cycling Campaign is delighted to announce the appointment of Tom Fyans as its new CEO.

Currently Director of Campaigns and Policy & Deputy CEO at CPRE, Tom will join LCC in early September. He has worked at CPRE for nearly eight years and has more than 20 years’ experience providing campaign leadership for charities including ActionAid UK and Amnesty International UK.

Announcing the appointment, Eilidh Murray, Chair of the Board of Trustees of LCC, said:

“We are so pleased to have Tom on board for the next phase of our development. His depth of experience influencing policy makers to make brave choices will be invaluable at LCC and the staff, trustees, members, and patrons are all looking forward to working with him. As we look towards the mayoral election in 2024 and beyond, Tom’s leadership will help LCC make a big impact as we continue to push for zero-carbon roads, safer junctions and the removal of the barriers that people in London face to cycling. On behalf of everyone at LCC, a big welcome to Tom.”

Tom Fyans added:

“After being a member for many years, I’m excited to be joining the team at LCC at such a crucial moment. The mayoral election in 2024 is a great opportunity to keep up the momentum and make London a safer and greener city for cyclists and a better place to live for all Londoners. Cycling needs to become a safe, inclusive and practical travel option for everyone, and I look forward to building on LCC’s recent campaigning successes and helping to make London a world-class cycling city.”
