AGM & Campaigners’ Conference

Tuesday 19 October, 6-9pm: AGM & Campaigners’ Awards

Bad news: We were planning a separate Campaigners’ Awards, but venues proved a problem. Good news: the AGM venue is big & airy enough & there’s few enough motions we can do both, at once! Members, please register for the AGM & Awards, happening at the edge of Regent’s Park, in the huge main theatre of Cecil Sharp House, or to attend virtually instead. As well as an update on LCC’s year & finances, we’ll be hosting a panel discussion & celebrating all the amazing work our local campaigners and others have been doing on active travel over the last year.

Recent events

This year, we spread our conference aimed at skilling up LCC campaigners across 3 evenings.

Wednesday 29 September, 6.30-8.30pm: Review and plans

Where we’ve been and where we’re going: a time to reflect, breathe deeply, give each other some really heartfelt appreciation, and what we’re aiming for in the next year.

Video of webinar available soon.

Monday 27 September, 6.30-8.30pm: When everyone cycles

When everyone cycles, or Everyone cycles when…? We look at projects and approaches that have found and enabled people to cycle who might have been dismissed as potential cycle users, or whose voices are less heard when they do. What do we need for everyone to have the chance to benefit from cycling?

Video of webinar available soon.

Monday 20 September, 6.30-8.30pm: Climate Safe Streets

Climate change is coming to a street near you – near all of us. Forget Covid: climate change is the new inevitable. This event aims to link the macro issues in transport’s impact on climate with the micro measures and approaches that you can weave into your work and focus as local politicians move into election mode.
