Ride Marshal Training - Thu 25 July - LCC Offices

Registration is closed for this event
Volunteer training for Freecycle

A course aimed at people new to marshaling rides (or want to brush up). The course will cover the principles of ride leading and how to marshal large rides. This training is designed to help build volunteer skills ahead of the Freecycle led rides.

Freecycle is on Saturday 3 August. More information here: https://lcc.org.uk/articles/volunteer-as-a-lcc-ride-marshal-at-freecycle-2019

The training will start with a short briefing session here at the LCC offices in Wapping and then you will go out on the road. You should bring or hire a bicycle.

Participation is free and the only requirements are being a confident rider and being able to bring a cycle in good working order on the day. We also encourage participants to brush up on their Cycle Skills before the course, preferably getting themselves up to Bikeability Level 2 or equivalent (informaton on free Cycle Skills training from local councils can be found here: https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/cycling/cycling-in-london/cycle-skills).
